A preliminary hearing for a Dover Area music teacher charged with 661 counts of possessing child pornography has been set for April 23 at the York County Court of Common Pleas, according to District Judge David Eshbach’s office.
Eshbach, who recused himself from the case, will be replaced by District Judge Scott Laird, Eshbach’s office said.
Matthew B. Puterbaugh, 46, of the 1000 block of Conewago Road, Dover Township, was arrested and bail was set at $250,000. He posted bail March 1.
Puterbaugh’s attorney, Lancaster lawyer Russell Pugh, declined earlier this week to say how his client planned to answer to the charges.
